During “Focus the U on Sustainability” week students interact with faculty members and work with the university as a whole on projects related to environmental, economic, and social sustainability. This is a holistic experience – more than just recycling and other basic ways of being green.

LEAP Peer Advisors

LEAP

After students have participated in the LEAP Program their first year, they can return as role models and liaisons to entering first-year students. They work closely with the students in the classes as well as with the professor/mentor to gain leadership skills.

John R. Park Debate Society

Students work with faculty guidance to plan and host a public debate/dialogue about an issue of local, statewide, and/or national political, social, or cultural importance. Students gain hands on experience researching potential topics, recruiting participants, planning content, strategizing public relations, and event hosting.
