Civil Engineering students enroll in a Professional Practice and Design course in which local communities visit campus to present a problem. Students then spend a semester building a solution to present to the communities. This course includes lessons in leadership, teamwork, communication, and ethics.

This program enables University of Utah engineering students to spend a semester or two studying at top international engineering colleges in Germany, China, Korea, or India.
