Youth Outreach – Lego League

Tech Venture Development

1,400 junior high kids participate with 300 student volunteers in the fun, creative experience. Undergraduate students are involved in judging, helping to plan, mentoring teams, and similar activities. The goal of this program is to make science and technology as fun as sports.

Chemical Engineering Chem-E Car Competition

 College of Engineering

Chem-E Car is an engineering competition for teams of Chemical Engineering students to design and construct chemically powered vehicles that can carry a certain weight in cargo a set distance.

Union Programming Council

The Union Programming Council (UPC) is a committee that plans, organizes, and develops activities on campus with the help of associate directors and volunteers. By participating in UPC, students advance their ability to lead, organize, self manage, value differences, collaborate, and become enlightened citizens who gain experience and excel in the workforce.

SPARK enables students, staff and faculty to generate and share ideas on how to change things for the better at the University of Utah. Through a collection of submissions, ideas are discussed then rated in order to identify the top ideas which could potentially be implemented across campus.
