Students work with local high schools to provide instruction, coaching, and other support for students participating in high school forensics (speech debate). Students gain hands on experience working in a classroom, facilitating team goals, and responding to the changing needs of the schools with which they work.

Students work with faculty guidance to plan and host a public debate/dialogue about an issue of local, statewide, and/or national political, social, or cultural importance. John A. Moran Eye Center
The Moran Eye Center offers service at three ophthalmology clinics in Utah for those of low socioeconomic background. With these new clinics, ophthalmology residents now have opportunities to see more pathology and be involved in the medical and surgical care of patients as primary providers with attending supervision.

Students then spend a semester building a solution to present to the communities. This course includes lessons in leadership, teamwork, communication, and ethics.
