Moran Eye Center Community Outreach

John A. Moran Eye Center

The Moran Eye Center offers service at three ophthalmology clinics in Utah for those of low socioeconomic background. With these new clinics, ophthalmology residents now have opportunities to see more pathology and be involved in the medical and surgical care of patients as primary providers with attending supervision.

HEDU 5990 includes an internship component. The purpose of the internship/preceptorship is to advance and enhance students’ professional growth through the integration of classroom theory with planned, supervised, and practical work experience related to health promotion and education.
